About ken Hammond 
 
Ken is a self-taught artist, based in Bosham, who has been professional since 1971, first exhibiting his work on the Hyde Park railings at Bayswater, Central London
 
In developing his style of traditional marine art, Ken spent a lot of time crewing various sailing ships and Thames Barges in order to have a deeper understanding of the vessels themselves. This provided Ken with the personal experiences and details that he expresses through his pieces.
 
In recent years Ken has developed more contemporary styles and techniques, appealing to 
a much wider art following. Working in a range of mixed media from watercolour to glasswork.
