Description: Paul Friedrich Gustav Guido Hampe (21 August 1839 in Berlin November 1891 in Berlin[2]) was a German landscape painter.Hampe, a son of the Berlin portrait painter Johann Christian Wilhelm Hampe and his wife Charlotte Friederike née Prößel, worked mainly in Thuringia, the Black Forest and Switzerland, but also visited Greece, Italy and Spain. From 1862 he exhibited his works at the Royal Prussian Academy of Arts as well as in Dresden and Frankfurt am Main.In 1887 he married Luise Henriette Walzer, with whom he had lived for over a decade before the marriage.His brother was the hunting and landscape painter Wilhelm Hampe (Conrad Friedrich Wilhelm Hampe, 1838–1876).
