George Wright was a sporting painter. His brother was Gilbert Scott Wright, also a well-known artist and his sister was Louise Wright, a pioneer of fashion art. George sometimes collaborated with Gilbert on certain works. His portrayal of horses and coaching scenes are particularly notable, with a lively and realistic style about them. He exhibited at the Royal Academy.
