Here we have a unique and rare piece of english history ,
the painting was created around the 1890's on panel
 
 Thomas Hardy - Thomas Bush Hardy RBA 1842 - 1897. 
Marine painter and watercolourist. Born in Sheffield,
traveled in Holland and Italy. Exhibited at SS 1871-97
(elected RBA 1884), RA and NWS. Hardy's prolific coastal scences
painted in fresh and vivid colours, achieved enormous popularity. 
A most sought after artist,
painted in the hand of a R .A grandmaster 
 
We have had the piece under the microscope and 
we date this around the late 18th century
